Terms & Conditions Policy

ISTA Festival Cyprus

Terms & Conditions Policy

May  2026

By registering for the ISTA Festival Cyprus (hereafter "the festival"), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your registration.

1. Participation

  • I declare that I am an adult (21 years or older) and capable of taking care of myself and choosing what is right for me. I am attending the festival on my own free will. I do not have a mental illness that could interfere with my participation in the festival's activities.

  • I take full responsibility for all my actions and interactions on physical, health, sexual, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels during the festival.

  • I confirm that I have truthfully disclosed any relevant medical and mental health conditions, current medications, pregnancy, or recent surgeries.  I understand that withholding relevant information may put me and others at risk, and I take full responsibility for any consequences arising from non-disclosure.

  • I acknowledge that the festival includes practices that can be physically and emotionally intense - such as breathwork, bodywork, ceremonies, and emotional release. If I have any doubt whether these practices are safe for me, I will consult my doctor before attending.

  • I acknowledge that the festival is a personal journey within a group setting and requires personal responsibility for my experience. Participation may evoke strong emotions or past traumas. While the space can facilitate deep healing, it is not a therapeutic environment and is not equipped to handle complex psychological issues. Support is available, but it does not replace professional therapy.

2. Consent & Boundaries

  • I agree to respect my own boundaries and those of others at all times. I agree to seek clear verbal consent before any intimate interaction. Intimate contact will occur only when there is a full "yes" from all involved. I recognize that "maybe" is not a "yes" and will treat it as a "no."

  • I understand that some of the festival's content includes nudity (partial or full), sexuality, and intimate touch. Participation in such content is my free choice, and I can opt out of any activity that doesn't align with my boundaries.

3. Code of Conduct

  • The use of mind-altering substances, such as alcohol and drugs, is strictly prohibited, as they impair the ability to give or receive conscious consent. I am not allowed to bring or consume any kind of drugs or alcohol during the festival.

  • Selected workshops or sessions may be documented by photo or video. Only official festival photographers may record. I agree not to record, take photos or videos during workshops or ceremonies. If I do not wish to appear in any media, it is my responsibility to inform the staff at the Info Center. The festival will do its best to honor such requests, but cannot guarantee that I will not appear unintentionally. If I appear in any published image or video, I may contact the organizers, who will make reasonable changes where possible. I agree to maintain discretion and not take, share, or distribute any personal photos, videos, or recordings of participants without the consent of everyone involved. I will not disclose personal details of other participants.

  • The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant from the festival, without refund, who violates this Code of Conduct - including but not limited to: consuming or bringing alcohol or drugs, breaching consent, photographing or recording without permission, verbal or physical aggression, or behavior that endangers the safety or wellbeing of the group. This decision lies at the sole discretion of the organizers.

4. Accommodation

  • As a service to participants, the organizers coordinate room reservations at the festival venue on your behalf - rooms are allocated in the order in which bookings are received.

  • I understand that requesting a bed in a shared room or dorm is subject to availability in 2, 3, 4, or 5-person rooms.

  • I understand that my room preference will be taken into consideration, but that beds within the rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. Payment & Pricing

  • The deposit is the amount paid at the time of booking via TicketTailor. The exact deposit amount is shown at checkout and may vary by event.

  • The €350 deposit is refundable within 14 days of purchase, minus all handling fees.

  • After the 14-day window, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

  • Deposits made less than one month before the festival are not eligible for a refund, regardless of the 14-day period.

  • To secure your spot, full payment must be received no later than October 12th. If we do not receive your payment by this date, your reservation will be cancelled and your spot will be released for resale.  Payments already made are subject to the cancellation conditions in section 6.

  • In addition to the festival fee, an association fee of €15 is paid to Selah - Association for Conscious Education, Research, and Personal Development. By paying the deposit, you confirm that you have read and accepted the association's statutes - available here. The association fee is non-refundable.

  • Room downgrade: Possible until October 12th upon availability - please contact us for confirmation. After this date, there will be no refund in case of downgrading.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Up to 21 days before the event you may cancel with a refund, minus your non-refundable deposit and a €300 admin fee.

  • From 21 days before the event: Your spot is non-refundable.

  • Transfers: If you cannot attend, your ticket may be transferred to another participant with our prior written approval. Please contact us in advance.

  • Cancellation requests must be sent in writing to istafest.cyprus@gmail.com. The date we receive your request determines which cancellation window applies.

  • If your spot is successfully resold, we may at our sole discretion refund a portion of the retained payments.

  • Any refunds due under this cancellation policy will be issued within 14 days of our confirmation of cancellation.

  •  All transfer/payment fees are on the participant.

7. Festival Changes & Responsibility

  • The festival organizers reserve the right to adjust prices, the program, and the list of presenters or musicians without prior notice, in response to circumstances beyond our control. Such changes do not entitle participants to any form of compensation.

  • Failure to meet the conditions outlined above does not constitute valid grounds for a refund.

  • If the festival is postponed, all purchased tickets will be transferred to the new date(s).

  • If the festival is canceled entirely (not postponed), tickets will be refunded in full. Alternatively, if you prefer, your payment can be credited toward a future edition.

8. Liability & Insurance

  • By agreeing to these terms, you remove responsibility from the organizers for any physical or emotional incident that may occur during the festival, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

  • The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items, including cars, money, jewelry, phones, laptops, and similar valuables. Valuables should not be left unattended in rooms, tents, or vehicles.

  • We strongly recommend that you take out travel and cancellation insurance, and ensure you have valid health insurance covering your stay. The organizers are not responsible for costs arising from cancellation, illness, injury, or repatriation.
